The Otis Service Center’s Assembly Department is looking for an Electro Mechanical Assembler (2nd shift: 3:00PM to 11:30PM) . On a typical day you will: The position requires assembling parts and sub-assemblies through a variety of electro/mechanical tasks and duties to achieve maximum cell efficiency. Candidate must be a team player committed to continuous improvement with demonstrated skills and abilities in mechanical dexterity, assembly manufacturing, material handling, soldering, wiring and ability to comprehend basic prints and wiring diagrams. What you will need to be successful: Physical Demand If an item weighs more than 50 lbs., employee must ask for assistance in lifting and/or use the appropriate crane, forklift or other lifting devises and/or techniques. Walking, balancing, climbing, standing, twisting/turning, bending/stooping, crawling, crouching, kneeling/squatting, sitting, reaching above shoulder height, reaching forward, lifting (maximum 50 pounds), carrying, pushing/pulling, handling, feeling, digital dexterity, wrist flexion/extension, power grip, working speed, talking, hearing, seeing (with color vision) depth perception. Must be able to wear/use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a team player committed to continuous improvement with demonstrated skills and abilities in mechanical dexterity, assembly manufacturing, material handling, soldering, wiring and ability to comprehend basic prints and wiring diagrams.
  • Candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must follow all EH&S and safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to adhere to assigned work schedule, including start time and annual inventory.
  • Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of electronic assembly.
  • The individual should possess a positive attitude with the ability to work independently, read and interpret drawings, prints, and wiring schematics.
  • The individual must have good interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidate should be able to accommodate changes in production and work schedules in order to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • A certificate from a trade school is preferred.
  • Assembly and wiring experience are a plus.
  • An electrical background is desirable.
