CNC Setup Machine Operator - 1st Shift
About The Position
What You Will Be Responsible For: Setup and adjust CNC Machines Working knowledge of Vertical CNC Mills (3 and 4 Axis) Working knowledge of Horizontal Mills Working knowledge of all CNC screens and functions Work with Quality dept. to interpret layout data Perform equipment/maintenance checks to include: Able to understand material handling techniques to package parts off CNC as necessary Participate in Continuous Improvement activities Responsible for all machined parts on the CNC machine. Check coolant for refractometer reading Mix and fill new coolant Clean machine at the end of the shift Use and control of daily paperwork to include: Production sheet Parts progress reports Job traveler packet SPC quality sheets Other paperwork as necessary Work independently and as part of a team. Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor. Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems. Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation. Able to participate in a collaborative environment. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Accepts feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the bundles meet safety standards. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Able to read and understand inspection tools. (Micrometers, calipers, comparator).
- CNC programming.
- HS Diploma/GED
- Must also pass a skills-based test.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented.
- Must pass a company background check and drug screen.
