What You’ll Do: CNC Operation: Set up full production cycle and operate CNC Lathe machines for tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeding, and live tooling. Machine Optimization: Optimize setup times, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand blueprints and route instructions. GD&T Application: Apply expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Program Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments. Inspection Process: Follow in-process part inspection protocols and report non-conformance issues to the Supervisor/Lead. Collaborative Communication: Coordinate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel to resolve quality concerns. Safety Compliance: Work safely and consistently wear required PPE throughout the shift. Shift Documentation: Record and document issues for a seamless shift transition. Preventive Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance checks and document findings. What You'll Bring: Measurement Proficiency: Knowledge of calipers, gauges, and other required measuring tools. Math Skills: Strong proficiency in basic math. Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately document machining procedures. Tooling Knowledge: Familiarity with metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling. Machine Experience: Experience with Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines (preferred). Communication: Basic oral communication skills and the ability to read, comprehend, and complete logs and reports in English. Physical Stamina: Ability to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components. Policy Compliance: Availability to work scheduled hours and adhere to all company policies, including timekeeping. Adaptability: Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment and stand for an entire shift. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of machining practices, materials, and general mechanical principles. Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to be trained and a desire to learn new skills.
