Position Summary The CNC Route Controller is responsible for operating and managing CNC routing equipment to support the production of high-quality signage. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent organizational habits, and the ability to interpret detailed shop drawings with precise tolerances.

Requirements

• 1–3 years CNC routing experience preferred; sign manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in EnRoute and/or VCarve software.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and engineered files.
• Strong understanding of tolerances, material behavior, and router tooling.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and follow all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC routers using EnRoute and VCarve software.
• Review and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and production packets to ensure accurate routing paths.
• Verify material dimensions, tool selection, and cutting strategies before running jobs.
• Maintain precise tolerances and quality standards for ADA signage, dimensional letters, cabinets, panels, and specialty components.
• Organize workflow to ensure jobs are processed in the correct sequence and meet production deadlines.
• Perform machine maintenance, bit/tool changes, calibration, and daily safety checks.
• Communicate with Design, Production, and Project Management to clarify drawing details, material specs, and routing requirements.
• Track materials used, scrap generated, and any issues during setup or routing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
