About The Position

Exciting and challenging opportunity for a CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor) with a solid background in Engineering who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced work environment. The CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor) will execute activities associated with the development, application and maintenance of manufacturing standards for the manufacturing processes. If you are a disciplined and collaborative individual with demonstrated understanding of Lean who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver results, you may be an excellent candidate to join our team.

Requirements

Five or more years direct experience in turning CNC programming.
Experience processing nickel and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees.
Proficient in performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding high precision tolerances.
Ability to program with CAM and manually as necessary.
Must be familiar with Repair Technical Data e.g. Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, OEM approved supplemental data, etc.
Must have experience authoring typical shop process planning paperwork e.g. Routers, Operation Sheets, Inspection Forms, etc.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering a plus

Responsibilities

Lead turning (lathe and VTL) programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Process Engineers and machining leads.
Directly support operations with NC programming changes to address issues as they come up.
Directly support NPI development with new NC programs.
Work with Process Engineers with CAD model development and validation for milling and turning operations.
Work directly with Senior Engineering staff on various engineering initiatives.
