About The Position

Are you a skilled CAM Programmer who takes pride in precision, efficiency, and quality? We are looking to fill a permanent, full-time, position for a CNC CAM Programmer in our manufacturing plant located in Conroe/Woodlands, TX. In this role, you’ll program with Mastercam 2024+ and Vericut 9.4+, support the production team with accurate CNC Programs, and play a key part in delivering top-quality products in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment. The right candidate will need knowledge of Manufacturing, CNC programming, CNC operations, quality control, the ability/willingness to see projects through in a timely fashion to meet deadlines as required, strong communication skills are necessary to ensure jobs are efficiently managed, including working overtime, weekends and split shifts when needed. Requirements

Willingness to support Taurex Drill Bits policy of a drug-free work environment
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience running CNC machines
Minimum of 2 years’ experience using CAM software
Haas, Fanuc, Siemens control experience, Mazak Nexus is a plus
Tooling knowledge, speeds and feeds and cutting strategy
Demonstrated ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
Demonstrated understanding of basic math skills required
Ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, veneers, and calipers) as required
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Must be able to lift 30 pounds occasionally.
Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed

Nice To Haves

Live tool lathe is a plus
Mazak Nexus is a plus

Responsibilities

Ability to program and edit lathes and mills on the shop floor
Ability to use Mastercam 2024+
Mastercam 2D lathe, 2D mill, 3D mills and multi axis mill. Live tool lathe is a plus
Vericut Simulation and Force experience 9.4+.
Ability to download and draw tool models.
Mazak programming
Ability to read blueprints for product specification such as dimensions and tolerance
General set up and fixturing of lathes and mills
Knowledge of tooling, along with speeds and feeds
Knowledge of Renishaw Probing
Work in a fast-paced environment to keep up with production demands
Must be able to work independently
Perform other duties as required
