About The Position

Program various CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as 3 and 5 axis cutting, CNC Lathe and router programming to form or shape manufactured parts from raw materials. Uses CAD/CAM programming system to convert engineering drawing and change orders into machine G Code format. Implement changes to machine programs and enter new specifications. Program future jobs while machines are operating and ensure the current revision level is accurate. Completes all necessary documentation and follow up as required in a timely, orderly manner. Responsible for a variety of tasks involving inspecting, evaluating of production parts to blueprint specification. May design, build and repair a broad variety of basic mechanical and/or specialty equipment and jigs and fixtures. May perform preventive maintenance responsibilities for assigned departmental equipment/machinery to include corrective maintenance as required.

Requirements

  • Five years of CAD/CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Requires great attention to detail and the ability to read drawings and specifications (GDT)
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of safe working practices
  • Ability to understand and interpret basic written technical information
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
