In this lead position your responsibilities & activities will include: Must be proficient in 3D Mastercam programming with the use of 3-D models provided by engineering. Program, set-up and operate CNC mills, for mold machining and other assembly components, with minimal dimensional defects and downtime. Follow process documentation to achieve 100% compliance. Must demonstrate willingness to work in a diverse, team-oriented environment. Able to read blueprints and demonstrate proper use of measuring instruments. Adhere to lockout/tagout, plant safety and other OSHA safety guidelines. Understand and support continuous improvement techniques and processes. Strong attention to detail, be highly organized and be computer literate. Must have the ability to multi-task. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ensures that the work area and all equipment are kept clean and in good working order. Create and document all programs and update tooling set-up and log sheets as required. Confer with appropriate engineering and other personnel in preparing and finalizing programs. Responsible for cutter knowledge and their effective uses to maximize efficiency. Provide suggestions or advice to tool designers to maximize the efficiency of the machine shop. Inspect parts using basic equipment such as calipers and micrometers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years of experience in CNC Programming
  • General Machining knowledge
  • Experience with 3D Mastercam
  • Knowledge in the use of Calipers, micrometers, depth gauges and other inspection equipment.
  • Must be able to safely use a lift or hoist to load large plates into machines.

Nice To Haves

  • (AAS) in CNC Programming or (BS) Manufacturing Engineering (Preferred)
