About The Position

Our Client is excited to welcome an experienced CNC Press Brake Set-Up Operator to our growing manufacturing team in Decatur, Alabama. If you are a skilled professional who takes pride in precision, enjoys working independently, and values quality craftsmanship, we would love to hear from you.
This is a 1st shift opportunity, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., with occasional overtime. Starting pay is competitive and based on experience and demonstrated skill level.
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking a highly skilled operator with at least five years of CNC press brake setup experience who can confidently program, set up, and operate equipment with minimal supervision. Your expertise will directly impact the quality and efficiency of our production process.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of CNC press brake setup and programming experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of angles, geometry, and advanced math skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently while maintaining production standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• If hired, you must pass a background check and drug screening before your start date.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and production routers
• Perform precise geometric and mathematical calculations, including bend deductions and layouts
• Select proper tooling such as flats, V-blocks, radius dies, and specialty die sets
• Program CNC controllers and complete full machine setups independently
• Plan and execute efficient bending sequences
• Perform dimensional inspections using calipers and tape measures (standard and metric)
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
