About The Position

CNC Operator – Custom Closet Production Closet Factory is the custom storage solution authority, serving the worldwide need for tailored space organization throughout the home. For over 22 years, we’ve designed, manufactured, and installed premium custom closets, home offices, garages, pantries, media centers, and more. With locations across the country and sustained long-term growth, we’re expanding our production team and looking for a skilled CNC Operator who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-driven, experienced CNC Operator to support our existing CNC team in custom closet production operation. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components to exact specifications. Success in this role requires strong technical ability, consistency, and a commitment to quality over shortcuts.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of hands-on CNC operating experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or custom closet manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of melamine and wood-based panel products
  • Familiarity with the 32mm system and nested-based manufacturing workflows
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and technical documentation
  • Comfortable with CNC programming interfaces and software (G-code, WOODwop, or similar)
  • Experience handling large panels and using material-handling equipment safely
  • Strong measurement skills and quality-control mindset
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and thrive in a fast-paced production environment
  • Reliable, self-motivated team player with clear communication and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery to cut panels and components per job packets and production schedules
  • Review shop drawings, cut lists, and job documentation to ensure accurate execution
  • Monitor machine performance and inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, edge quality, and finish
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize throughput, reduce waste, and maintain consistent quality
  • Identify and communicate material defects, programming issues, or machine concerns proactively
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and assembly teams to meet production goals and timelines
  • Maintain accurate production records and job tracking documentation
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
  • Assist with material receiving, verification, and inventory awareness when needed
