The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines to support efficient, high-quality production. This role includes performing routine quality checks, monitoring hourly machine output, and generating reports for management to support productivity goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
  • Proficient in operating CNC machinery and using gauges, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Comfortable working under clearly defined procedures and supervisory direction

Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings and translate requirements into production measurements
  • Set up and calibrate machines and tools for each job
  • Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, and grinding
  • Conduct test runs to ensure machines meet specifications
  • Monitor machine output and perform quality inspections throughout the shift
  • Record production data and report results to management
  • Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures
  • Clean and inspect machines and the work area at the end of each shift
  • Participate in training sessions and safety meetings
