The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines to support efficient, high-quality production. This role includes performing routine quality checks, monitoring hourly machine output, and generating reports for management to support productivity goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Proficient in operating CNC machinery and using gauges, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
- Comfortable working under clearly defined procedures and supervisory direction
Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings and translate requirements into production measurements
- Set up and calibrate machines and tools for each job
- Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, and grinding
- Conduct test runs to ensure machines meet specifications
- Monitor machine output and perform quality inspections throughout the shift
- Record production data and report results to management
- Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures
- Clean and inspect machines and the work area at the end of each shift
- Participate in training sessions and safety meetings
