  • Use basic shop tools, lifting devices and measuring devices
  • Use basic shop math
  • Read and understand work instructions written in English
  • Have the ability to hear and distinguish between normal and abnormal noises
  • Hand dexterity to manipulate small gauges, knobs and controls
  • Have the ability to stand for extended periods of time (8 – 10 hours)
  • Have the ability to repeatedly and frequently lift up to 50lbs unassisted

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training in CNC Operation or machining.
  • Previous Machine Shop experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate machinery
  • Load and unload material
  • Operate and monitor CNC machines, such as lathes and mills, to produce machined castings according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Pressure test, deburr and finish aluminum castings to specifications.
  • Ensure castings to be shipped are packaged to correct quantity and packaging standards.
  • Maintain applicable process documentation and perform quality checks by using micrometers, gauges and calipers.
  • Report discrepancies to the supervisor
