About The Position

The role involves operating CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) mills and lathes to produce precision metal components and inspecting products to ensure they meet all drawing specifications. Ideal candidates will be able to confidently read and interpret blueprints, use measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers, and proactively recognize and adjust for any machining issues. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and read blueprints.
  • Ability to use shop mathematics.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds over the course of a shift.
  • Willingness to learn new things and be part of a team.
  • Great attitude and attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5+ years of CNC experience is preferred.
  • Experience as a CNC Mill or Lathe Operator is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machines.
  • Work safely around equipment and coworkers.
  • Participate in training and learn about Dixon products.
  • Perform daily maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with rotating assignments.
  • Work as part of a team.
