About The Position

Primary Responsibility: Sets up and operates CNC Mill – machines/inspects parts per drawing Duties and Responsibilities: Sets up machine – set up tooling – install/machine soft jaws as required Downloads program via computer. Make offsets to maintain part dimension tolerance. Responsible for ensuring each part is made within designated specifications. Inspects parts using precision measuring instruments – micrometers – calipers – depth micrometers bore gages – plug gages. Follows all Safety instructions and practices. Follows work instructions in place.

Requirements

• Good mechanical skills.
• Basic machine shop practices
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion
• Stand for extended periods - 2 hour periods
• Some overtime required

Nice To Haves

• Trade School or pervious machine shop experience preferred
