Responsible for Computer Numerically Controlled machines (i.e. generate, edit, troubleshoot and verify CNC Programs) utilizing CNC technology by means of programming, setup, and operating a CNC machine. Operate a CNC machine to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. (Challenge Mfg. Company offers newer and well-kept CNC equipment in a climate controlled environment. Equipment includes Haas CNC Mills and Mitsubishi Wire EDM) Inspect, verify and replace as needed tooling utilized in the CNC work center. Calculate, record and enter into the control the appropriate offsets for each tool. Maintain the appropriate production records in Plexus. Maintain the appropriate maintenance records in Plexus. Perform general (i.e. routine) maintenance of the equipment fluid levels and lubrication points Mastercam Programming preferred This will be a 3rd shift position working 10:00PM to 6:30AM Tuesday-Saturday, located at our plant in Richmond, KY. This position will train on 1st shift, 6:00AM-2:30PM Monday - Friday.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college or technical school preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of two years' work experience as a CNC Programmer or Machinist / Operator.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Tool and Die experience or training strongly preferred
  • Mastercam Programming preferred

Responsibilities
