CNC Operator
About The Position
The CNC Operator is responsible for turning CAD files into poly lines, geometric shapes, and machine programming. The cutting of parts for all departments is also a key responsibility in this area. What you will do: Collaborate with the detailers, shop supervisor and shop carpenters regarding needed parts to ensure that they are received Machine new exhibit parts according to CAD files or verbal communication with team members Maintain work area and machines in a safe and clean condition and free of hazards Conduct a daily and yearly maintenance on the CNC machine and keeping accurate maintenance records Maintain daily work and material logs using timekeeping kiosks Assist the shop supervisor in scheduling the workload as it relates to the CNC machine
Requirements
- High school diploma or a GED is required for this position
- General or basic building experience- exhibit experience a plus
- At least five years of prior experience in a CNC role
- Computer skills are required for this position, (Proficient in AutoCAD, Geoshape, and generating NC codes)
- Ability to nest parts for maximum material use
- Heavy lifting is required up to 100 lbs
