As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you are responsible for setting up, operating , and maintaining CNC and or ACME to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects you to adhere to all safe work procedures and to create parts up to the highest of quality standards .

Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
• physical and environmental demands Variable Conditions : Y ou may experience temperature changes, noise levels exceeding 85 decibels , and exposure to dust, grease , and other industrial materials. P PE and safety measures are . Safety Hazards : You may be exposed to mechanical parts, sharp objects, and heavy machinery. Completion of safety training and strict adherence to all safety precautions are mandatory. Physical Strain : Tasks may involve repetitive motions, standing for long periods , and handling various weights. Vision and Auditory : Requires good vision and hearing to respond to machinery sounds, alarms, and instructions. Physical Activity : Requires standing up to 8 hours, lifting 35 pounds, and occasionally pushing/pulling 75 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.
• Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
• Perform duties to assist setup and operate multiple ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment simultaneously for a variety of machined products.
• Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
• Check material for correct size and type.
• Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Move materials in the performance of duties.
• Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
• Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Complete required quality checks/documents and production documentation.
• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
