Summary: CNC operator loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts into machines.
• Use basic measuring equipment to inspect ports.
• Maintain production rates.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Performs inspection of machined products and maintains inspection logs.
• Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
• Follow detailed work instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to read drawings or blueprints.
• Inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
• Change tools.
• Ability to make tool offsets.
