Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Experience operating CNC mills/lathes is required
Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in math
Basic computer skills
Understand GD&T
Ability to read, speak and write in English.

Nice To Haves

Conventional machining experience is a plus
Current or active security clearance is a plus
Machining training is a plus
Experience on HASS equipment is a plus
MasterCam experience is a plus
Machine setup and Programming is a plus

Responsibilities

Operates and maintains CNC mill/lathe machines.
Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping using standard SMI, calipers, mics, and height gages.
Set up jobs and select appropriate settings for a given task.
Read and understand sketches, drawings, and work instructions.
Follows traveler steps to complete the assignment.
Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary and verifying results
Maintains inventory of completed products.
Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
Work independently as required.
Safely performs tasks, follows applicable safety practices, policies, and safe work behavior.
Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
