Position type: Hourly Plansee USA is looking for an experienced CNC Milling Machinist for 1st Shift: Monday - Friday; 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
5 to 7 years’ machining experience in a manufacturing production environment.
Advanced knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures involving CNC machines including editing computer-aided software and their applications.
High level proficiency in reading and interpreting machining and fabrication drawings.
Solid math, geometry and trigonometry skills and understanding GD&T.
Strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Operates computer-controlled lathe and/or milling machinery including set-up and program editing with ability to produce advanced routine/non-routine parts and components.
Perform machining operations on a variety of CNC milling machines including multiple setups, in place machining of fixtures and debugging first run programs.
Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures and cutting tools using hand tools and tool length off-set equipment.
Perform work-piece in-process inspection by checking accuracy of work against blue prints/specifications using advanced gaging techniques for product conformity.
Collaborate with machinists, planners, programmers and engineers to evaluate needs, troubleshoot problems, and recommend solutions.
Other duties as required.
