Position type: Hourly Plansee USA is looking for an experienced CNC Milling Machinist for 1st Shift: Monday - Friday; 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 5 to 7 years’ machining experience in a manufacturing production environment.
  • CNC Machinist Level 3 or 4 Machine types Kiwa and Okuma.
  • Fanuc and Okuma controls.
  • Ability to set- up and operate Horizontal and Vertical, 5 - Axis CNC machines.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
  • High level proficiency in reading and interpreting machining and fabrication drawings.
  • Solid math, geometry and trigonometry skills and understanding GD&T.
  • Fluent in using all types of measuring equipment form hand tools to CMM and Optical comparators.
  • Ability to read and understand G and M codes.
  • Ability to perform simple program edits as needed.
  • Must be able to set up complex jobs using work instructions or guides.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Operates computer-controlled milling machinery including set-up and program editing with ability to produce advanced routine/non-routine parts and components.
  • Perform machining operations on a variety of CNC milling machines including multiple setups, in place machining of fixtures and debugging first run programs.
  • Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures and cutting tools using hand tools and tool length off-set equipment.
  • Perform work-piece in-process inspection by checking accuracy of work against blue prints/specifications using advanced gaging techniques for product conformity.
  • Collaborate with machinists, planners, programmers and engineers to evaluate needs, troubleshoot problems, and recommend solutions.
