Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree, military training or certification in machining preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience set up and operating 3 to 4 axis milling machines
  • Experience with tight tolerances and precision parts 0.025 micron (0.001in) and smaller
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with metrology equipment and measuring tools
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Nice To Haves

  • 5 axis milling experience preferred
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software
  • Tool Grinding
  • Experience with advanced metrology equipment such as CMMs and Keyence LM/IM
  • Experience with NPI and CPI

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications using a variety of measurement tools
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
