Purpose and Objectives: · To operate Mill machines at first article proven stage to produce scheduled production rate. Job Description: · Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, drilling, tapping, deburring, first article and in-process inspection. · Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above. · Keep required documents in place (travelers, blueprints, tool maintenance log, daily production log) · Run first article inspection and Replace tools as required · Edit and optimize program to meet cycle time, tool life and quality requirements · Able to make parts quickly and efficiently to ensure quick turnaround · Help create fixtures to support machining jobs · Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor · Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations · Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines · Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine set-up. · Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels · Performs job assignments in accordance with Job Travelers · Creates job setup sheets as applicable and Maintains Quality records · Initial or sign and date all documents and revisions as applicable · Performs other work-related duties as assigned Experience and Skills: · 6+months of experience as a CNC Mill Operator (preferred) · Knowledgeable of the applicable QMS policies and procedures applicable to the position · Trained in the nonconforming material procedure · Required cutting tool knowledge · Knowledge of inspection skills · Knowledge of different CNC controls · Knowledge of different materials · Basic math skills · Blueprint reading · Knowledge of routing First Shift 5am - 1:30pm Physical Demands and Work Environment: · The description of the physical demands and the work environment characteristics here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform and those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. 6+months of experience as a CNC Mill Operator (preferred)
Knowledgeable of the applicable QMS policies and procedures applicable to the position
