About The Position

Ascentec Engineering is hiring at our Dallas, Oregon facility. We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented CNC Mill Machinists to join our precision aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and inspection of CNC Mills to produce high-quality, tight-tolerance components in a fast-paced, AS9100 certified environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with prototype and low-to-mid volume production, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement and quality. Shifts available: Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Weekend Night Shift: Friday through Sunday, 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The off shifts come with an industry leading hourly shift differential. This position is on-site (not remote/not hybrid) at our Dallas, Oregon facility and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Minimum 1–3 years of CNC Mill machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T.
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
Strong understanding of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and machining best practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
Trade school certification or formal machining training preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Mills (Okuma, DMG) for precision machining of aerospace components.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
Load and verify CNC programs; set and adjust work/tool offsets as needed.
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.).
Maintain dimensional accuracy within tolerances typically ±0.002” or tighter.
Document and maintain setup sheets, inspection records, and production logs in accordance with AS9100 and internal quality procedures.
Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and process inefficiencies.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure product conformance and continuous improvement.
Follow all safety protocols, 5S standards, and preventive maintenance procedures.
