About The Position

- The CNC Maintenance Technician at MORGAN STEEL LLC is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of CNC machinery. This role involves performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. The technician will work closely with the production team to ensure that all equipment operates safely and effectively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance and repair.
• Proven track record of working with CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in CNC machines.
• Strong understanding of CNC machine operations and maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with production teams and reporting maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for machine repair.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on CNC machines to ensure operational efficiency.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with CNC equipment and perform necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with production staff to understand equipment performance issues and provide timely solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for all CNC machinery.
• Order and manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Implement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Train and guide junior technicians and machine operators on basic maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC technology and maintenance practices.
