About The Position

We are actively hiring a CNC Maintenance Technician to support a busy manufacturing facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of CNC machines and production equipment. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience .

Requirements

• 3+ years CNC maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical AND electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working on CNC mills and lathes
• PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Must be local to Chesterfield, MI

Nice To Haves

• Multi-axis CNC equipment experience
• Servo motors / VFD knowledge
• Welding or fabrication experience
• CMMS experience

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
• Troubleshoot mechanical components (spindles, bearings, ball screws, hydraulics, pneumatics)
• Diagnose electrical issues including PLCs, drives, motors, and sensors
• Maintain and repair CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, etc.)
• Read schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings
• Respond to breakdowns and minimize production downtime
• Calibrate and align machines for accuracy
• Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
• Work with production teams to improve equipment reliability
