Leidos is seeking talented CNC Machinists for 1st shift, 2nd shift and Weekend shifts to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes. Apply and share your resume with us today! Primary Responsibilities The CNC Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts. Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is a plus. 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus. This role will work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with at least 1 year(s) of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
Candidates must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.
Regular attendance is required.
Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 1st shift - 4-days per week 10-hours per shift; 2nd shift – 4-days per week 10-hours per shift and Weekend shift 3-days Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12-hours per shift, 6a-6p.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is a plus.
5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.
5 axis machining experience with Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls.
(2) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool.
Experience machining in a prototype environment.
