About The Position

DAYTON-GRANGER, INC. (DG) is a third-generation family-owned aerospace manufacturer in Fort Lauderdale, FL, that has been proudly operating for more than 82 years. The company designs, tests, and manufactures aircraft antennas, electrostatic dischargers, and lightning protection components used on commercial, military, and private aircraft around the world. The CNC Machinist will support DG’s CNC Machining operations by safely loading, unloading, and monitoring CNC mills and lathes. This role ensures parts are produced to blueprint specifications and DG quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with CNC machines
  • Good communication skills in English (both verbal & written)
  • Experience using measuring instruments
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and visualize part processing.
  • Ability to cross-train and work in other areas of the machining department.
  • Fine motor skills for the operation of tools and equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior aerospace manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload CNC mills and lathes; perform drilling, tapping, deburring, and other machining steps as required.
  • Run machines per established work instructions and monitor machining operations for accuracy, tool wear, and abnormalities.
  • Monitor machine during machining process.
  • Perform in-process and final quality checks using appropriate measuring instruments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process issues or opportunities.
  • Document production and quality data as required.
