Reads blueprint or job order for product and job specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, number of parts to be run, tooling instructions or other written specifications. Sets up machine, observes operation, and inspects first run and sample work pieces to ensure machining conforms to specifications. Determines processing specifications such as materials, location of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences. Examines finished work pieces and verifies conformance to quality standards Mark identification material before or after processing, store material for additional processing, and/or shipping Accurately completes work order paperwork/documentation Performs routine and preventative machine maintenance and inspections as required Assists other machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces. Ability to perform program editing (speed, feed tools, etc.) is a plus. Experience with Fanuc 18i control, Okuma, OSP, and Mazak
