About The Position

RedStamp Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in CNC programming to support both production and prototype work on our precision manufacturing team. This role is responsible for light programming, setup, and operation of CNC machinery (primarily Haas) in a short-run environment. Success in this role requires a balance of technical precision, adaptability, and ownership. You'll play a key role in supporting Assembly and Engineering by delivering high-quality components that meet exact specifications on time while remaining flexible to shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills (Haas preferred)
  • Ability to perform light programming and program edits
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, tolerances, and machining best practices
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment and gauges
  • Ability to manage short-run, high-mix production environments
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and using CAD/CAM software
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years in a CNC machining environment
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines (Haas preferred)
  • Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience with Bridgeport Type hand mills

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from technical blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform CNC mill setup, light programming, and operation for production and prototype runs
  • Write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using GibbsCAM Software.
  • Ensure machines have the correct program and tooling for each job
  • Make program adjustments and offsets as needed to achieve proper part execution
  • Run small-batch production jobs, including loading/unloading parts
  • Perform secondary operations (deburring, tapping, buffing, reaming, cutting)
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers , gauges ).
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning and chip removal
  • Conduct basic preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Support and help oversee work completed by other operators when needed
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize machining processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
