About The Position

Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is seeking a CNC Machinist, also referred to as a Grinding Specialist. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating a range of semi-complex to complex CNC grinding equipment for manufacturing round tools, adhering to blueprints, engineering specifications, and standard operating procedures. Equipment includes centerless grinders, cylindrical grinders, cut-off machines, CNC tool grinders, and measuring instruments. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

2-3 Years’ Experience Working with CNC Machines in a Mechanical or Process Industry

Responsibilities

Accurately enter quality, SPC, production, and other required data into designated company information systems.
Perform routine and primary maintenance on assigned equipment; assist the maintenance team with major repairs as required.
Develop, edit, and optimize programs for NC/CNC‑controlled grinding equipment.
Perform all phases of assigned operations in full compliance with company policies and all applicable state and federal safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper housekeeping standards in all assigned work areas always.
Achieve established cycle time, productivity, and machine utilization targets.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Wear all required PPE and strictly adhere to company safety rules.
Always support and promote a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with the ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
