About The Position

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Bossier City, LA. Night Shift: 5pm-5am Job Summary : Performs various machining tasks to program, set up, and operate a CNC Lathe, Mill, or Multi Axis Machine. Measure and inspect all parts produced to API standards. Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities : Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations Ability to create new programs based on engineering drawings and specifications Ability to program a variety of CNC controls Familiar with Mazak machines and Mazatrol CNC controls Deliver quality parts in a timely manner with limited scrap Set up machinery for production runs Identify and select proper machine tooling Ensure that the production parts meet specifications and verify their quality according to API standards Measure and inspect production parts using precision measuring toolings such as micrometers, calipers, plug gages, and thread gages Follows lockout tag-out procedures Keep machine and machining areas clean and free of debris Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested Work Overtime and or weekends as necessary to meet customer demand. Education, Training, Experience : High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 2 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations : None Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to read and understand detailed instruction drawings and specifications on wellhead equipment and valves. Ability to use micrometers and calipers Knowledge of good document control and process flow. Intermediate computer, language, and mathematical skills and advanced reasoning ability.
