About The Position
A manufacturer located in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer to join their team. Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm M-F. Pay rate: $30-$40/hr. Will be working at a Okuma Machining Center.
Requirements
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience
- Must be knowledgeable of CNC Programming and G-Code
Nice To Haves
- Fanuc controls and V.M.C. experience a bonus
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates to close tolerance (+/- 0.001') on CNC V.M.C. to perform such operations as: Boring, milling, drilling, thread milling, ridged tapping and other operations
- Loading, saving and adjusting programs
- Selecting proper tools and tool setting if required
- Installing tooling in the magazine changers and indexing and/or replacing inserts
- Installing fixtures and using set-up sheets
- Monitors speeds and feeds for most efficient and safe operation
