About The Position

In this role, you’ll be in charge of operating and maintaining three laser cutters and material storage units while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. Requirements

Three to six years or more years of production experience, with three or more years in a production operator/machinist role.
A High School Diploma, GED, or vocational training is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating lasers cutters highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Setting up and operating selected groups of computer-controlled production machines.
Receiving processed parts and reading blueprints/sketches to fabricate a variety of complex, mid-low volume parts. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve problems associated with job set up.
Adhering to proper feeds, speeds, and settings to maximize production levels and machine/tool life.
Inspecting your own work prior to next operation. Serving as precision and operational inspector for Production Operators’ work. Adjust and send work back as necessary.
Stacking and/or moving completed work by following material handling procedures.
Completing tasks that regularly have cycle times of 4-8 hours on schedule, ensuring holding tolerance of +/- .001.
Supporting the Company’s 5S program to maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
Making recommendations to change outdated or ineffective procedures through the kaizen process.
