About The Position

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated CNC Laser Operator who brings thusiasm and expertise to the table. In this role, you’ll be in charge of operating and maintaining three laser cutters and material storage units while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. Requirements

  • Three to six years or more years of production experience, with three or more years in a production operator/machinist role.
  • A High School Diploma, GED, or vocational training is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating lasers cutters highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating selected groups of computer-controlled production machines.
  • Receiving processed parts and reading blueprints/sketches to fabricate a variety of complex, mid-low volume parts. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve problems associated with job set up.
  • Adhering to proper feeds, speeds, and settings to maximize production levels and machine/tool life.
  • Inspecting your own work prior to next operation. Serving as precision and operational inspector for Production Operators’ work. Adjust and send work back as necessary.
  • Stacking and/or moving completed work by following material handling procedures.
  • Completing tasks that regularly have cycle times of 4-8 hours on schedule, ensuring holding tolerance of +/- .001.
  • Supporting the Company’s 5S program to maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
  • Making recommendations to change outdated or ineffective procedures through the kaizen process.
