Overview The A-Level (IV) CNC Milling Machinist is highly skilled and experienced in the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines for the precision machining of metal components. Proficient in reading complex blueprints, performing precision measurements, and optimizing machining processes with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in area of responsibility
  • High School (High school diploma) or GED
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts to tight tolerances and specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Write or edit G-code programs and optimize cutting paths for efficiency.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures.
  • Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
  • Maintain tight tolerances (e.g., +/- .0002") and surface finishes as required.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and productivity.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and maintain a clean work area.
  • Mentor junior machinists and assist with training when needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.
