This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Requirements

  • Must be able to work Friday-Sunday 5:00 PM-5:30 AM
  • Seven (7) years of related CNC experience.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with multi-axis machines.
  • Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol, or other CNC controls
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
  • Familiar with the use of personal computers
  • Ability to provide Design for Manufacturing feedback
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, and stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift and carry 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years experience with CNC programming OR - 15+ Years Manual/Tool and Die Experience with one or more of the following CNC machines: Mazak, Hass, DMG Mori, Mori Seiki, and/or Okuma multi axis mills.
  • Tooling and fixture design.
  • 5 Axis Machining Experience
  • Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience
  • Outside processing knowledge including heat treating, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.
  • CMM programming/operation experience
  • CNC programming skills, preferably Mastercam X6 thru 2024
  • Conversational programming on the machine
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts
