About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist II to join our advanced aerospace manufacturing team in Tulsa. In this role, you will set up and operate multi-axis CNC equipment — especially large 5-axis machining centers — to produce precision components from aluminum, titanium, and high-temperature alloys. The CNC Machinist II will perform with minimal supervision, ensuring all machined parts meet exact engineering and quality standards while contributing to overall company performance in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Attitude (QCDSA). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist looking to take their craftsmanship to the next level in a cutting-edge aerospace environment.

  • 3–8 years of CNC machining experience in aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools.
  • Familiar with AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
  • Experience with CAD, CAM, MRP, and ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related programs.
  • High initiative with a strong commitment to first-part quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Provides valuable feedback to improve product quality and cost.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Adherence to OSHA, NADCAP, ISO9000 / AS9100, ITAR, and FAA regulations.
  • May require internal certifications (e.g., Forklift, Slings/Cranes, FPV).
  • Stand, walk, bend, and reach for 8–12 hours per shift.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Tolerate manufacturing noise, vibration, and temperature changes.
  • Wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection).

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a CNC machining certificate or vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes to produce complex aerospace parts.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, geometric tolerances, and work instructions.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM, etc.).
  • Calculate and make offset adjustments to maintain tolerances.
  • Monitor machine performance, tooling wear, and make necessary adjustments for accuracy.
  • Provide feedback to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and workmanship policies in a high-precision aerospace environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and inspection records in compliance with AS9100.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
