About The Position

Role Snapshot Join our field team and bring complex CNC and advanced machine tools to life across North America. As a Service & Commissioning Specialist, you will install, retrofit, commission, troubleshoot, and support sophisticated equipment at customer sites while partnering closely with internal engineering, customers, and contractors. What You'll Do Coordinate end-to-end installations and retrofits with internal teams, customers, and contractors Perform setup, commissioning, validation runs, and final acceptance testing Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and lubrication systems Deliver warranty repairs and ongoing field service support Train operators and maintenance staff on operation, upkeep, and safety best practices Complete service reports, checklists, time sheets, and customer-facing documentation Disassemble and prepare machines for shipment, ensuring precise labeling for reassembly Follow company quality, safety, and environmental standards on every job Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings Support machine updates, field troubleshooting, and rework as needed Technical Profile Robust mechanical foundation with CNC machine tool experience (3-axis, 5-axis, lathes, servos) Hands-on with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, and/or Bosch Rexroth controls Electro-mechanical troubleshooting expertise Ability to interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals Proficient with hand tools, electrical test equipment, and standard machine shop tools Familiar with software testing, troubleshooting, and recovery processes (with engineering support) Capable of basic machining operations and mechanical alignments during installs Metal cutting experience is highly preferred

Requirements

  • Robust mechanical foundation with CNC machine tool experience (3-axis, 5-axis, lathes, servos)
  • Hands-on with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, and/or Bosch Rexroth controls
  • Electro-mechanical troubleshooting expertise
  • Ability to interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
  • Proficient with hand tools, electrical test equipment, and standard machine shop tools
  • Familiar with software testing, troubleshooting, and recovery processes (with engineering support)
  • Capable of basic machining operations and mechanical alignments during installs
  • High school diploma or GED plus 10–15 years in a skilled trade; or Associate’s degree plus 6–10 years of experience; or Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical certification
  • Willing to travel 70–80% across North America
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Metal cutting experience is highly preferred
  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Controls Engineering is a strong plus
