About The Position

As a CNC Machinist, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to ensure accurate and efficient production according to technical specifications. Operators interpret blueprints, determine the required machine settings, and select appropriate cutting speeds, depths, feeds, and tooling for each operation. Decisions are guided by experience, knowledge of materials, and fundamental mathematical principles. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and machine performance. Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D and one or more years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, proof, type and handle all common clerical functions
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Swiss machines/programming preferred
  • Experience with Mitsubishi, Haas, and Fanuc controllers preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and maintain multiple complex machines
  • Deburr parts (manual and rotary buff)
  • Operate part cleaning/polishing equipment
  • Operate optical comparator, EDM, Calipers, micrometers, and other tools
  • Position and secure tools in holders; verify positions using gauges and measuring instruments
  • Replace worn tools as needed
  • May set up machines for other employees
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Run parts according to engineering specifications
  • Inspect first-run and sample workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, and ring gauges
  • Complete required in-process inspection reports
  • Accurately record production and inspection data
  • Perform approved preventive maintenance on machinery and work centers
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions and guidelines
  • Communicate and work effectively with team members to meet production goals and quotas
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
  • Observe all safety guidelines and report concerns to management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment
