As we expand our team, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated CNC Operator/Set-Up who shares our passion for precision and quality in manufacturing. Position Overview: As a CNC Operator/Set-Up at Q LLC, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by operating and setting up CNC machines to produce high-quality firearm components. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in a related field preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in operating and troubleshooting CNC machines.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of G-code and M-code programming, and the ability to read blueprints with GD&T capabilities.
Precision Measuring: Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, fixtures, and gauges.
Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain professionalism at all times.
Work Ethic: Self-motivated, adaptable to change, and possesses a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Safety: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Nice To Haves

Software Skills: SolidWorks/CAMWorks experience preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines to perform various functions such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, and boring.
Quality Assurance: Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts meet quality requirements and company standards.
Process Improvement: Communicate recommendations to modify processes for improved productivity and quality.
Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organizational standards and legal regulations.
Troubleshooting: Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as necessary.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
Surface Finishing: Grind, file, or sand surfaces of metal items using various hand tools, power tools, and machines.
Material Handling: Move materials and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Tool Maintenance: Identify and replace broken or worn tools, and make necessary tool offsets.
Setup: Perform setups of previously proven jobs with minimal instruction.
Defect Removal: Examine surfaces for defects, remove imperfections, and smooth uneven surfaces.
