About The Position

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all production equipment and machinery to ensure product is shipped in a timely manner to customers and ensures that work assignments are completed timely and safely. Responsible for some required facility maintenance. 1st Shift Position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / or Equivalent.
  • 2-5 years maintaining and repairing manual and/or CNC machines
  • 2-3 years of Facility Maintenance, with 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for entire shift.
  • Extended hours into 2nd shift and weekend hours may be required.
  • Background & Drug Screening required

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year technical diploma as a Maintenance Technician a plus.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma controls preferred.
  • CNC Machining experience a plus, but not required.
  • Welding skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production machinery and equipment to reduce downtime and improve machine utilization.
  • Perform needed troubleshooting on CNC controls and drives to reduce the unplanned downtime on the machines.
  • Diagnose and install mechanical components including pumps, valves, regulators, filters, and ball screws to enable the operators to run production.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance according to all OSHA and other safety requirements, i.e.: lockout/tagout to reduce the risk of anyone having an safety incident.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned machines to provide increased machine up-time and reliability to enable team to attain scheduled goals.
  • Perform regularly scheduled facility maintenance to be proactive and reduce the risk of unplanned downtime.
  • Perform emergency repairs on all production and facility equipment to keep the flow of parts to the scheduled customers.
  • Maintain adequate level of supplies, materials, and parts so that there will be reduced interruption in operations to attain set goals.
  • Regularly and proactively communicate with all needed employees on status of work performed so all parties receive the needed communication to keep a smooth transition.
  • Knowledge of and experience with various hand tools that may be needed to resolve corrective work that is scheduled to keep the downtime to a minimum.
  • Must be able to work on ladders, operate fork truck, high lift, and overhead crane after proper training is completed to completed requested maintenance correctives.
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated and possess strong verbal communication skills to be able to communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Must be able to work independently or with a co-worker to successfully resolve and complete scheduled repairs to reduce machine downtime.
  • Must be able to multitask and use priority list to get most needed machines back into production to allow parts to be completed on time and sent to our customers.
  • Able to work extra hours as required with giving appropriate time to schedule to meet scheduled due dates for part shipments.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as required due to priority level and being adaptable to help the team be successful and attain our Company goals.
