About The Position

Key position functions include: Be familiar and adhere to all Safety and Company Policies and Procedures. Knowledgeable of API/ISO, QCP’s, OP’s, Engineering and Material Specifications as relevant to appointed position. Operate CNC Lathe according to program and in conjunction with work order. Maintain productivity, efficiency, production standards and product quality. Stamp own machinist I.D. on all pieces, and re-stamp and/or mark heat numbers on pieces when heat numbers have been removed by machining. To identify machining rejects (By separation and/or marking) per OP 211. Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and conscientious manner. Keep machines clean and maintain a neat and clean work area. Work in conjunction with Programming and Lead Hand to maintain, improve and recommend efficient machining methods. Fill out daily job cards and/or Kiosk accurately and neatly. Sign off on process traveler, sequence number, operation number, machine number, production counts, etc. per OP 205. Notify Lead Hand or Department Manager of machine problems and check oil levels daily. Other duties as assigned by Lead Hand.

Requirements

  • Must have good communication skills and able to read and write in English.
  • Have mathematical ability.
  • Must have good understanding of CNC Programs.
  • Must have successfully passed company’s three-month probationary period and have a minimum of (18) months experience as a CNC Lathe Operator Level 1 OR 2 years minimum previous experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
