About The Position

We are hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes, working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts. The company utilizes Okuma Lathes, running with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders. This position is for a Weekend Shift, which is Friday to Sunday (3 days per week) with 12-hour days (6am to 6:30pm). A competitive hourly rate based on skillset is offered.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes.
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.
• OSHA 10-hour

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC Okuma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
• Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.
