About The Position

hiring for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes, working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts. We have Okuma Lathes, running with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders. Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6am to 6:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. (3 days x 12 hour days) Hourly Rate $25+ per hour, negotiable based on skillset and experience.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience operating CNC Lathes.
• Experience with CNC Okuma a plus.
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.
• OSHA 10-hour

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC Okuma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• You will help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving.
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
• Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.
