About The Position

You will be the CNC Electrical Technician for the Electrical Controls Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced automation equipment across production, research, and development environments. What You Will Be Doing As the CNC Electrical Technician you will be responsible for installing, modifying, and maintaining a wide variety of electrical and electronic systems that drive our CNC, PLC, robotics, and other automated machinery. Requirements

  • Proficient with electrical/electronic components of computer numeric control (CNC) equipment, programmable logic control (PLC) equipment and demonstrate a firm understanding and knowledge of the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic operations of the machines.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the National Electrical Code as it pertains to machine tools and associated equipment
  • Three (3) years working with CNC and PLC machines and components.

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and repair CNC, PLC, and robotic control hardware and associated wiring according to schematics, service manuals, and performance specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and detailed troubleshooting using calibrated laser, ball‑bar, and other precision test equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues with laptops, test instruments, and diagnostic software.
  • Mentor and train junior CNC Electrical Technicians (level B) as needed, and step in to perform their duties when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and promptly report any unusual conditions to the lead or supervisor.
