About The Position

Must be able to set up and run CNC EDM wire and sinker, design electrodes and work to tighten tolerances. Required to setup the necessary gaging and the setup required work holding and tooling for the job.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude required.
Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8-12 hours a day.
Must have knowledge of turning centers and milling machines.
Must have basic G-code programming and editing skills.
Knowledge of general machining processes and ability to read blueprints.
Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve quality and production issues.
Must be comfortable working with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Ability to Train, coordinate, communicate effectively with all departments.

Knowledge of horizontal machining centers a plus.

Wire Mitsubishi MD + Pro III knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

Accurate and safe machine operation.
Performing tool changes and offsets of CNC machines.
Test operation of machines periodically.
Trains all lower-level operators.
Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
Other duties as assigned.
Sharpens and changes tooling as needed to maintain tolerances, may give input or recommendations.
Monitors assigned equipment to ensure dimensional part integrity.
Preset tooling for set ups and tool breakages during normal operations.
Verifies accuracy of completed operations.
Inspects parts visually and dimensionally using inspection equipment and techniques to ensure conformance to requirements.
Perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
Maintains tooling following established tool life guidelines.
