Now Hiring: Full Time CNA Transportation Driver Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm About the Role: The Transportation Driver is responsible for assuring that community-sponsored scheduled transportation is implemented appropriately and timely, with resident safety and security the primary priority. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Has familiarity with and/or willingness to work with the elderly population.
  • Must have approved driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nurse Aide Certificate preferred.
  • Successful completion of CPR/First Aid Course, Driver Safety and Training Course preferred.
  • Successful completion of Driver Education Training Course preferred.
  • Previous experience in a driving position preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transports Community residents to and from medical appointments, activities, and shopping errands using Community-owned vehicle.
  • Reads the transportation schedule daily and makes sure all scheduled appointments can be met.
  • Encourages residents to schedule at least 24 hours in advance of any needed appointment.
  • Reminds residents that medical appointments, activities, and shopping are to be scheduled on designated days whenever possible.
  • Is flexible for unscheduled transportation needs in an emergency.
  • Revises schedule accordingly to stay with and assist residents who are unable to access community and appointments independently.
  • Completes routine periodic vehicle inspection check and informs Administrator of any maintenance problems or safety issues that need to be addressed.
  • Is thoroughly familiar with fire, missing persons and other emergency procedures; follows company policy and procedures detailed in fire and disaster plans.
  • Ability to operate a van and van lift
