About The Position

Please apply here if you are interested in joining the next Mission Health CNA Training Program cohort. Please read all the information before submitting an applicationOur next CNA Training Program will start in February 2026 and each program is 6 weeks long, with a Monday to Friday commitment. Once you apply, we will email you further information about our next program. We will only be accepting 40 students into each program. A maximum of 8 hours can be missed during the 6 weeks of class as mandated by the state of NC. You may be required to start one week in advance to ensure you will be admitted into the program without delay. You must work for Mission Hospital full-time for 5-6 weeks after completion of the course while waiting to take your exam. You must maintain a good standing in the Health Unit Coordinator role to take the state exam. You must maintain an 80% or higher in the program to pass, if your grade goes below a 75% you may be dropped from the program.We will hold a hiring event to fill our seats for each program, interviewing is the only way to secure a seat- further information will be sent about this event date. Our nurse managers will interview for their unit and offers will come from Talent Acquisition. All candidates will report to the hired department and work under that manager. You will be trained to work as a Health Unit Coordinator on the unit. You will stay in this position until you take and pass your state exam. Once you have passed your state exam and are on the state registry, you will begin working as a CNA on that same unit. The average time worked as a Health Unit Coordinator is about 5-6 weeks as state testing is not immediate and delays can occur. It is required to work full-time with us after you complete the program (three 12-hour shifts a week, with a weekend requirement). Once you accept a position with us, you will be required to work 6 months on the unit that offered you a CNA position before you are eligible to transfer to another department in the hospital. This position is a paid position and you will be considered an HCA employee. You will be benefit eligible, and will be able to take advantage of benefits like tuition assistance, student loan repayments, PTO, medical/dental/vision, and so much more! HCA will cover all costs of the program, like paid testing fees, scrub cost reimbursement, on-the-job training, and test prep books. This is a highly competitive program and we are only able to accept 20 of the many interested candidates per program. Attending the interview day is the only way to be considered for a spot in the cohort, no exceptions will be made.
