About The Position

Summary of Duties As an SRNA/CNA Clinical Nurse, you will assist providers in the examination and treatment of patients, perform lab technician duties, and ensure an exceptional level of patient care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Nurse Aid, Medical Assistant or similar medical certification and minimum 1-3 years’ experience working in a medical or clinical setting.
  • Must have the ability to follow verbal and written directions and have good physical and mental health.
  • Must have manual dexterity to handle instructions, current knowledge of departmental procedures and be able to maintain a friendly work environment.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to submit a background check and oral drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and record vital signs (e.g., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) in patient charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist providers during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Administer medications as directed and document administration in the EMR system.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments, restock medical supplies, and inventory/order necessary materials.
  • Assist with lab specimen collection according to lab standards.
  • Apply compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical histories, family and social histories, and medication records in the EMR system.
  • Verify patient demographics and other data for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with providers to ensure all organizational quality standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain Basic Life Support and CPR certification per Red Cross or American Heart Association guidelines.
  • Ensure treatment areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Provide coverage at multiple clinics as needed based on the schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
