About The Position

Healing Hands Private Care delivers quality, compassionate and highly individualized care and support that helps people in need of assistance stay at home – all while maximizing their dignity, privacy and independence. Whether recovering from illness, injury or surgery, living with a chronic disability or dealing with the natural process of aging, services are tailored to meet the individual needs of people of all ages, physical conditions and cognitive abilities. We provide personal care and homemaking programs, professional nursing, geriatric care management, Alzheimer’s/dementia care, respite care and other programs, as well as in-home monitoring. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with seniors and their families, have a great personality, and a true passion for caring for others.

Requirements

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation every single day
Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
Available to work varying shifts, including nights and/or weekends
Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
Supportive and compassionate
High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
Take pride in providing high quality care
Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
MUST have 1-2 years' Experience in a Private Home or Healthcare Facility Setting

Responsibilities

Meal preparation/Serving & clean up
Light housekeeping (Client bedroom, bathroom & kitchen)
Laundry (washer/Dryer)
Change bed linen/Make bed
Assist with shower (2x a week
Assist w/Dressing/Undressing
Standby for safety
Companionship/Supervision & overseeing of client's activities
Assist w/ walking, wheelchair, cane,
Grocery Shopping
Assist with Transfer from wheelchair
Able to walk with assistant.
